Office 365 Time Zone Settings

Symptom

Meetings in Teams or Outlook Calendar are showing different times for some participants

Common Issue

Usually, incorrect time zone settings are the culprit. 

To check:

Microsoft 365 for education

  1. Sign in to Microsoft 365 with your College account. 

  2. Click Settings Gear-shaped Settings icon to open the Settings pane and view your current settings.

  3. Under Settings, look for Language and time zone. Click on Change your Language -->.

  4. Scroll down the page and click on the Pencil icon to change your Time Zone. Select the correct time zone for your area. For example, if you are on campus, you should choose (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). 

  5. Your calendar appointments should update to the correct time zone.
